My Story

For over two decades, my life's purpose has been deeply intertwined with elevating the voices and needs of those who are often unseen and unheard. Born out of an unwavering love for assisting others, it all traces back to the pivotal influence of my grandmother. Her battle with dementia and the loss of my father during my formative years ignited a fire within me, cultivating an unyielding determination to effect meaningful change within the realms of aging and disability care.

As a hands-on caregiver, I cherished the privilege of directly impacting individual lives. These formative experiences were a crucible of insight, unearthing the intricate complexities and adversities faced by both individuals and their families. Transitioning into the role of a care manager amplified my focus, drawing me into the critical domains of Medicaid, Medicare, disability support, and care planning. This shift broadened my understanding of systemic obstacles and underscored the imperative for compassionate and strategic advocacy.

I have had the opportunity to lead Long-Term Care facilities through the COVID-19 pandemic and create the Essential Worker healthcare program, a first in the nation for long-term care workers. I have staunchly advocated for caregivers, their families, and the people they care for to address some of the systemic problems that exist in our care economy. The challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic only fueled my determination to make a meaningful impact in my community.

I am excited to announce a new chapter in my journey. In addition to my ongoing advocacy efforts & care consulting, I am branching out into educational events and speaking engagements — aiming to share my experiences and insights with a wider audience. I am partnering with national organizations to collaborate on new projects and programs that prioritize care. These opportunities will not only allow me to connect with more people but also enable me to contribute to discussions on a larger scale, ultimately driving positive change in our society.

My unwavering “why” finds its roots in the conviction that every individual deserves to age with undiminished dignity and to receive the highest standard of care.
